The PMG
080 is a "pancake" style neutrally timed, brushed permanent magnet
DC motor manufactured by Perm Motor in Germany. It is similar in
design to the Lynch/LEMCO and Briggs & Stratton ETEK motors. The
armature is made of flat copper strips stacked together so there's
no stack of laminations like in a traditional motor. It's high
power, high efficiency and small size make it a good choice for
electrathon vehicles, generators, go-karts and robots. The motor's
body is 146 mm (5.9") in diameter and 83.9 mm (3.5") long. The
shaft is 12 mm (0.472") in diameter and 26 mm (1.02") long with key
and threaded hole. The motor comes with two 457 mm (1.5') long 8
gauge wires attached. |
